Licensed Therapist in California

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #103036) serving clients across California via telehealth. Sessions in English and Farsi. Based in West Los Angeles, with in-person sessions starting Fall 2026.

Welcome. I’m Helia. For more than a decade I have sat with people through some of the most significant thresholds of their lives, and I have built this practice around what I have learned matters most in therapy: time, honesty, and a space that meets you exactly where you are.

That belief shapes every session, every conversation, every year of this work.

Every person carries a story
worth understanding with care.

من همچنین به زبان فارسی برای بزرگسالان و زوج‌ها در سراسر کالیفرنیا درمان ارائه می‌دهم.

Therapy that equips you,
not just holds you.

I believe every person carries a story that deserves to be met with empathy and care. Therapy, at its best, is a partnership: one where we work together to uncover patterns, build emotional insight, and equip you with the internal resources that only this current season can provide.

My approach is warm, grounded, and purposefully direct. I meet you where you are. And my goal is always your independence: to give you what you came for, so you can carry it forward on your own.

Healing is not about becoming a better version of yourself. It is about recognizing that every version of you, including this one, is already part of your whole.

Evidence-based therapy approaches

I draw from four evidence-based therapy modalities in my California
practice, choosing the approach that fits the work in front of us.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Identifying and shifting the thought patterns that drive emotional distress, so your mind becomes a tool, not a trap.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Building psychological flexibility so you can move forward in alignment with your values, even through the uncertain seasons.

Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy (IBCT)

Supporting couples in finding deeper acceptance and meaningful evolution in their relationship dynamic.

Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)

Cultivating presence, self-awareness, and calm, so you can interrupt the cycles that pull you out of your own rhythm.

What working
together looks like:

Our sessions are a space to slow down, be honest, and begin to understand what has brought you here. There is no script and no agenda other than yours. We move at the pace of your unfolding.

You will not leave with homework that feels like a burden.
You will leave with insight that feels like yours.

Who this practice was built for…

Adults navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, or major life transitions

For when the season is harder than you expected. Anxiety that has started to limit your life. Burnout that no amount of rest seems to touch. A career transition, a relationship ending, a midlife reckoning, or a season that arrived before you felt ready. Therapy that meets you where you are and equips you for what is next.

Women navigating
health transitions

Postpartum, perimenopause, menopause, and the hormonal, emotional, and identity shifts that move with them. The physical and emotional landscapes that women move through, often without enough acknowledgment or support, are a core focus of my practice.

Couples finding their
way back to each other

Partners who love each other and have drifted. Couples navigating a major transition together. Two people who are ready to do the honest, careful work of rebuilding their rhythm.
